The car was delivered directly to the hotel I was staying in and it looked really fantastic up close!
...It was amazing and exhilarating! I could feel the power in my hands while driving the car! It was like being in control of a beautiful and powerful beast.
Delivery and collection was a hassle-free process and even though I've rented cars several times in my life, this was the best experience so far.
Driving a Lambo is one of those things that will either endear you to someone to make them absolutely hate you. There are a couple of reasons for this. Let's take the first. Any Lamborghini is going to look like a supercar that not many people can afford. So there is that envy issue to deal with. The second reason. Any Lamborghini is going to look like a Supercar and you are going to look like an idiot if you are driving into the shops to pick up the weekly groceries.
Drive the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder and these two problems come into sharp focus. Firstly, let's be brutally honest. If you are going to be spending in the region of $300,000 the last thing you are going to be worried about is keeping the attention factor to a minimum.
The styling is unmistakable - this is a seriously beautiful car. But it has the under bonnet oomph to back that seriously world-class topless appeal. At the risk of sounding misogynistic - this is a supermodel that can appear topless on a ramp and then tear your head off with V10 performance.
As with any supermodel, male or female, you are going to hear some 'come hither' bubbles in your ear. These noises are going to be courtesy of the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V-10 that is under the bonnet of the Huracan.
The engine and AWD drivetrain will deliver 630hp at 8,000rpm and 443lb-ft of peak torque at 6,500rpm. And that will propel you to a top speed of 202 mph if you really want to stomp on the accelerator. But it's not only the top speed that impresses it's also that this topless beauty will get you to 60 mph in around 3 seconds. That's worthy of a second look at the other models that are going to take to the supermodel ramp. For instance, both Porsche and Audi make similar automobiles - but neither has the sheer presence of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder.
It's not only that blistering topless speed that sets this car apart from the competition it's also the interior. It's modeled after the latest and greatest fighter jets that are today taking to the skies - but it also keeps its feet planted firmly on the tarmac courtesy of the huge touchscreen which will allow the adventurous driver to be in control of every aspect of performance and entertainment. The lcantara, or special Carbon Skin upholstery are both designed to make the experience even more special.
That 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system gets you a truly unique Lambo experience. It's easy to use and even the neophyte will find the swipe and touch functions easy to use. As for the exterior - it's the latest that the house of the Bull has to offer. The front end looks even more aggressive than the older Huracan, if that is possible.
IN short, if you want performance that is wrapped in a Velvet glove and capable of strutting its stuff with the best supermodels in the world, then this may very well be the topless model for you.
